Biography 

Born in a freshly post-Communist Romania, the aftermath the dictatorship left on the population shaped much of my childhood. The faces around me etched with painful memories and fears of the unknown touched me profoundly, and marked the beginning of my desire to capture various expressions. Working with vulnerable populations further contributed to this passion, along with my own journey experiencing the human condition, with its ebbs and flows. 

Personal Statement 

As a third generation artist, Theresa Bordianu finds her passion in expressing the multifaceted emotions of the human condition. Using a variety of mediums though chiefly relying on acrylics and charcoal, she uses rough strokes to capture movement which are at times softened to convey different moods.
